Horse Adoption Update

In August the Central California SPCA featured a horse adoption promotion. We are offering free horse adoption fees (to approved forever homes) with $100 worth of free hay and free transportation within a 60 mile radius! We had nearly 40 horses available for adoption!

Many of these horses have been rescued from deplorable conditions, abuse and neglect and have been nursed by to health. We at the CCSPCA hope that our free adoption promotion will find these beautiful creatures the “furever” home they deserve.

Within the month of August we received almost 80 applications for horse adoptions! We would like to thank the community for such a great response. We have reviewed the applications, made phone calls to potential adoptees, and are currently making home inspections.

After a stringent review process and dozens of home and stable checks, 18 horses have now been adopted into WONDERFUL homes! The horses that have found their “furever” homes are Betty, Cricket, Chicago, Denver, Cincinnati, Hollywood, Magic, Spring, several mustangs and eight others who are still being transported to their new homes!

Months later, this process continues and will forge forward until every horse receives what should have always been theirs to begin with - a home free of cruelty, starvation, and neglect with families who will love them forever.
