Maggie’s Jammies

Maggie’s Jammies make a great holiday gift for the lovable dog in your life. Maggie’s Jammies are a fleece jammie that helps your four-legged friend stay nice and cozy during these colder months. These jammies come in a variety of sizes and prints and are available at our Gift Store.Maggie is a beloved Boxer, CCSPCA alumni, and has a very special story to share.Maggie and eight other boxers, three Labradors and a Chihuahua were rescued by our Humane Officers in October 2010. All the dogs were severely emaciated, however Maggie was the worst. She weighed only 18 pounds. Her normal weight should have been 50 pounds. According to doctors, one more week in her neglected environment, she would be dead.Due to Maggie’s state, she had problems maintaining her body temperature. While at the CCSPCA, the staff would spend their breaks with Maggie by wrapping her up in their coats and blankets, to keep her warm. Maggie also has stomach issues and would often refuse to eat. This was a condition that occurred due to her severe neglect. These problems would most likely haunt Maggie forever.In December 2010, Tony and Tabitha Bettencourt came to the shelter to find an addition to their family. They immediately fell in love with Maggie and adopted her! They were aware of Maggie’s past and decided to give her the furever home she deserved.Since the Bettencourt’s live in northern Oregon, where it gets cold and frequently snows, and being aware of Maggie’s body temperature issue, they made specific fleece jammies for Maggie. She wears them every night.For the love of Maggie, the CCSPCA replicated and sewed her jammies in a variety of sizes. We will be selling them at our shelter and off-site locations as a fundraiser. All proceeds will be donated to our Wellness Fund, which will help future abused and neglected animals brought to the shelter.We have a variety of sizes ranging from extra small to extra large in many different fleece prints. Prices for Maggie's Jammies range from $4 to $8. Hopefully your beloved dog will love them as much as Maggie does.
