Just like you, your dogs and cats love to cool down on a hot day with a frozen treat. However, giving your pets human frozen treats (like ice cream and popsicles) isn’t healthy for them. Here are some do it yourself pet treats!

Frozen Peanut Butter Dog Treats:

Ingredients

• 32 ounces plain yogurt (low fat)
• 1 cup smooth peanut butter

Directions

• Melt the peanut butter in a microwave safe bowl until mixable consistency
• Combine the yogurt and melted peanut butter
• Pour the mixture into cupcake papers
• Place in the freezer.

Frozen Tuna Treats for Cats:

Ingredients:

• Tuna (packed in water)
• Plain Yogurt (low fat)

Directions:

• Mix tuna and yogurt in a bowl.
• Line a muffin pan with cupcake liners or spray with non-stick cooking spray
• Put a good sized dollop of tuna and yogurt mixture into each muffin cup.
• Place in freezer
